Which resorts are already open?

Here it is, a list of the resorts in the Alps that will open this month. Just in case Mother Nature will drop the motherload in November already, so you won’t get stuck in a resorts that doesn’t have its lifts running. European resorts are pretty strict with their opening dates and early openings like in North America don’t happen that often (check out the video above). Keep in mind that when a resort is in this list, it doesn’t mean that all the lifts are open. The resorts in the list with a # are glacier resorts.

Austria

Switzerland

Italy

France

The next resorts will probably open in November:

Austria

Switzerland

Italy

France

I’ll update this list during the month. If you want to add resorts to the list, drop them in the comments.

Yep, it sure is. I was in Stubai two weeks ago. Pretty good conditions for the middle of October, but no off-piste possible of course.
