Here it is, a list of the resorts in the Alps that will open this month. Just in case Mother Nature will drop the motherload in November already, so you won’t get stuck in a resorts that doesn’t have its lifts running. European resorts are pretty strict with their opening dates and early openings like in North America don’t happen that often (check out the video above). Keep in mind that when a resort is in this list, it doesn’t mean that all the lifts are open. The resorts in the list with a # are glacier resorts.

Im fairly sure Stubaier Gletscher in Austria is open aswell!
Yep, it sure is. I was in Stubai two weeks ago. Pretty good conditions for the middle of October, but no off-piste possible of course.

@@thanasischalas Alpe d’Huez will be open this weekend. Engelberg will be open (Trübsee - Stand), Planai Schladming also.
Guys, Planai/Schladming is open since yesterday and Hauser Kaibling and Reiteralm are opening next week. Prob the biggest connected area open throughout the Alps by the end of next week?
