153 cm of snow expected for Mt. Baker!

The fact that winter is on like Donkey Kong in North America probably doesn’t come as a surprise. But it gets even better (or worse if you’re a jealous person). An epic dump is on its way to North America and at least 153 centimeters of snow is expected in Mt. Baker for the next six days. Anyway, conditions are great in the Pacific Northwest and the Canadian Rockies because one look at the top 10 is showing resorts in those regions.

Unfortunately the temperature will rise a couple of times during the dumps. But some wet snow will not hurt this early in the season. It makes the quality of the base even better. When we zoom in on the map, we see the familiar black spots on our snow maps. Which means more snow than our maps can handle is expected.

As mentioned the temperature will rise a few times, but you shouldn’t be afraid. Cold temperatures with more snow will follow right after. It looks like the Pacific Northwest is heading for a historic opening of the season. An opening like they have not seen in three seasons.
