Top 10 resorts with the best snow right now!

Where in the world can you find the best snow right now? We selected the 10 resorts where you’ll find the best snow. It’s based on the snow you’ll find in the resorts right NOW and on a global outlook for the next couple of days. Keep in mind that this list may be different in a week or so. But if you plan a trip to one of the resorts below, we’re sure you’ll have an awesome Christmas!

##1. Mount Baker

The conditions in Mount Baker are perfect. They already had a staggering amount of 560 centimeter of snowfall at the top this season. The base is perfect and there’s more fresh snow in the forecast the next couple of days!

##2. Jackson Hole

The legendary resort of Jackson Hole had around 199 centimeters at the top. It’s cold and there’s more snow in the forecast. The base is good, but the only drawback is the heavy winds.

##3. Whistler-Blackcomb

The season couldn’t start better in Whistler-Blackcomb. They already had 666 centimeters of snow at the highest peaks and it even snowed a lot in the village. The base couldn’t be better and the conditions are all time. And the best thing is that there’s even more snow in the forecast.

##4. Snowbird

You’ll find a good base at ‘The Bird’. The resort that does welcome snowboarders in Little Cottonwood Canyon got 137 centimeters of snow at the peaks this season. The base is fine and there’s more snow coming down the next couple of days.

##5. Aspen Snowmass

Aspen Snowmass probably isn’t the cheapest place to stay around Christmas, but you’ll find a great base there, thanks to the 201 cm of snow they already got this season. And it will snow all week in Aspen!

##6. Revelstoke

The base is great in Revelstoke. They already had 284 centimeters of snow this season. You can find great conditions on the runs from the Stoke and the Ripper and in the backcountry. There’s more snow coming up this weekend.

##7. Loveland

Loveland is probably not the most known resort in this list, but the 162 centimeters of snow gave the resort a great base. They’re expecting plenty of snow again this week!

##8. Wolf Creek
(c) JLombard - Wolf Creek Ski Area

Same goes for Wolf Creek. Not the most known resort, but 187 centimeters of snow at the top this season already. You’ll find a great base there and there’s plenty of snow in the forecast.

##9. Stevens Pass
(c) Stevens Pass

Stevens Pass has a great base. They already had 392 centimeters of snow this season at the highest peaks. There’s a lot of snow in the forecast again.

##10. Kirkwood
(c) Kirkwood Mountain Resort

Kirkwood already had 258 centimeters of snow this season. The base is good, there are freshies coming up, but there will also be heavy winds.

The best conditions in North America

You’ll only find ski resorts in North America in this list. The best conditions can be found over there. Not in the Alps. Not in Norway. Not in the Pyrenees. Not even in Japan. The snowline in the resorts around Lake Tahoe, but also the resorts in Oregon is a bit too high and they will have some heavy winds. Check out more details on the snow maps for North America.

Myrkdalen in Norway has more than Röldal, currently, after 235 mm of rain in the area during the last days , still at 200 cm and more will fall during the next 3-4 days when weather gets colder. Mobile home standing by for Norway.
