Exposition

Sulden is an area which often picks up snow fairly early in the season. It's based high up, most slopes face north and it's inner alpine cold. At the south side of the main alpine ridge Sulden is based at the foot of the Ortler and not far from the Königspitze. Snow from the southwest has to climb quick here and dumps in the shadow of the Ortler. Often most snow falls between mid-November and late January, this results in excellent conditions with Christmas.

With bad weather

Not a lot of shelter, but underneath the Kanzel and Langenstein lift is sufficient terrain to have a good day, especially when it's dumping.
