Exposition

Arosa is sandwiched between the north alpine ridge and the main alpine ridge. This means that it's an inneralpine area. The best snow is coming from the north. The cold fronts of a weststau and the fronts of a northstau bring the snow. It shouldn't be too cold. The snowline in Arosa is always lower than in areas more north. It can snow very, very intense in Arosa. Be there when that happens!

With bad weather

Tree lines are almost everywhere wildschutz, protected areas where you risk large fines if they catch you there.
