At the foot of the famous classic tour the Col de L'Iseran Bonneval sur Arc lies deep in the alpenhoofdkam . The area is famous for its microclimate making the middle of winter, very cold and often dry. In this period reached the weststau rarely this valley, while here in the fall and spring can substantially snowing. And those are the moments of the ' le retour d'Est who just then also brings a lot of snow. Because of the many rocks and cold and dry winters Bonneval sur Arc normally at its best from mid February. But those early years when the winter arrives and does much snow deposits is also dead of winter as well to enjoy the cold snow than long verse means.

With bad weather

Intense snowfall could mean that the village temporarily from the outside world is closed. The road between Bessans Bonneval and is a real avalanche alley where one after another avalanche road trying to reach. On these days you sit inside, drink and eat genepy tartiflette. Bonneval has no trees or in poor visibility you will have to give out to 20 minutes away Val Cenis, although here more ground game schutz is.
