Le Grand Massif is a bizarre bowl with an opening to the northwest. As a classical amphitheater resemble the mountains waiting for new snow clouds, knowing that the Mont Blanc behind them an immense here stau causes. The weststau here comes full justice to. Especially the snow from the west to northwest is legendary. You can leave the area better left to warm fronts coming from the south or west come (and everything in between lies). Wait until there is enough snow for the dolienen top Flaine,

With bad weather

The low share of Flaine have sufficient forest and shelter during the heavy dumps .
