Exposition

Opposite of Disentis en Brigels you find Obersaxen. It is just as inner alpine and pinched in between the north alpine ridge and the main alpine ridge as its neighbors. But is has an important advantage. It consists of north facing slopes on mostly alpine meadows. So you only a little snow to ride here, A disadvantage however is that it never, really never, gets snow from the north, while its neighbors over 2200 meter always do get some in that case. It is dependent on some small dumps, and the extroardinary situation that a low moves right over Graubünden. At its best in February and March, but definitely not worth a detour.

With bad weather

Not enough trees for some orientation.
