Exposition

Pinched right between the Walensee and the Säntis lies the AppenZellerland. These are a pure-bred example of the Swiss first alps. Because of the advance position of the Appenzellerland it gets snow from directions between west and northeast. Especially mid-winter it can snow immensely.Given, less than in Voralberg, but it gives a good try. In case the streams turn south, the warm föhn from Chur comes this way.

With bad weather

What a great forest, too bad it's all wildschutz. In that case all that rests us is powder on the marked runs in the trees.
