Just above Trento and Lago di Garda, thats were you can find Paganella; far South of the main alpine ridge. All lifts are on the North slopes which is needed since the palm trees grown only 30km to the South at the lake. The sun has a lot of strength here, but so do the snow cloud. Its really the first Alps with some 3000'ers in its backyard. Snow coming from the South brings tons of pow and the cold fronts can make the snow line drop rapidly. Spring really starts in March so make sure you've visited before that time.
