Exposition

Pelvoux-Vallouise in situated just underneath the highest peaks of the Parc National des Ecrins. In a valley that offers shelter for warmer air but still catches every snowflake from the south. Like in the neighbouring area of Puy St. Vincent, snowfall can immense and because of the large number of trees, the area can withstand the cool northern winds that often occurs when snow has stopped falling. Conditions are best in January and February when the snow remains cold and fresh and when the southern winters account for frequent storms.

With bad weather

Trees till the top lift, larches, couloirs and often a decent snow pack. This is a heavenly area with heavenly treeruns.
