Exposition

The Val Gardena is situated south of the main alpine ridge. Even though it's south of the main alpine ridge it has got a very alpine feel about it. Because of it's situation deep in the Dolomites the snow here remains fresh for a long time. Snow comes from a southerly direction, mostly in early and late winter. When the second series of dumps follow in February, this region is at its best.

With bad weather

Forests full of larches are to be found here all over, making it pretty much always possible to ride.
