Exposition

Valberg is located at just under one hour from the Mediterranean Sea. There's a reason the resort starts at an altitude of 1700 meters, the runs are north-facing and lariksen provide some shadow. The sun is a lot stronger here, and freezing-level is quite a bit higher than in Austria. Still, it snows here quite often. Prerequisite are low-pressure areas settling above the southern part of Europe, but if that's the case, it's "on" regularly. If there's a continuous hogedruk above the Mediterranean See, this is a NO-GO.

With bad weather

Larches between 1700 and 1900 meter provide sufficient visual cues on dump days
