Exposition

Situated at the western side of the north alpine ridge they pick up the snow from depressions coming from the west and northwest. Snow can also come from the north, however that is often accompanied by quite a lot of wind. The majority of the lifts is located in the so called low mountain range which means that it's mostly alpine meadows here. It doesn't need a lot of snow here, however warm fronts from the southwest will try to make the snowcover shrink fast using föhn and rain. At its best with snow form the northwest.

With bad weather

A little secret, but the trees are good here, (still) only little wildschutz and mid-winter it's usually richly covered by snow.
