Exposition

Zermatt lies internal Alpine, deep in alpenhoofdkam and like Saas Fee also behind the alpennoordkam . The summers are so hot and dry and the winters are cold and dry. The reason? A noordstau and cold fronts of weststau be blocked by the alpennoordkam. In addition, peaks as the Matterhorn and the Dufourspitze in the southwest it difficult for fronts which come from southwest to reach Zermatt. A powerful zuidstau or a very active warm front from the south makes for the most snow in Zermatt. And precisely these fronts usually come in the fall and spring. The best you therefore from the beginning of March.

With bad weather

More and more game schutz here. Yet among the Riffelberg with a beautiful snowfall sproojesbos to find.
