Hello my name is Sander Kan,
I am a professional ski instructor/Freeskier and in possession of the highest Swiss brevet, German and Austrian Staatliches. So ISIA qualified and ISIA card holder. My first skiing experience was at the age of 4 and since the year 2000 I ski professionally. The most important part of my work is off-piste coaching, guiding and safety instructor for Snow Safety Centre.
For my work I travel a lot through the Alps but my basecamp is Nendaz in the Valais Alps, Switzerland. Here I work a lot in an around "the four valleys" (Nendaz/Verbier). But as well in other parts of Wallis as Val d'Anniviers, Marécottes, Ovronnaz, Evolène, Nax, Arolla and Crans-Montana, etc.
In my free time I go climbing and freeriding with friends on high peaks away from the slopes.
I have been working 7 summers as mountainbike guide in the 4 Valleys area and I'm guiding mtb tours all over the Alps now.
During the summer of 2013 I've done a lot of climbing but the last 3 summers I spend more time on the bike as against the wall. My favorite disciplines on the bike are enduro and DH!
During winter Freeskiing is what it's all about...
My sponsors are:
Smith goggles and helmets thx to Snowcountry,
and the ABS base unit and Dakine backpack thx to MK skiservice!
