FWT stop in Revelstoke postponed

Organizers of the Freeride World Tour have announced the decision to reschedule the first stop of the 2014 competition calendar in Revelstoke, CAN. The Revelstoke stop, which was originally scheduled for December 18, 2013 has now been moved to March 10, 2014. Although Revelstoke Mountain Resort has recently opened for the season with great early season conditions, the competition venue known as ‘Mac Daddy’ face is in the backcountry outside of the resort, and is not yet suitable for the event.

Six stops

The Freeride World Tour will now start in Courmayeur Mont Blanc, ITA (Jan. 18), with men’s ski and snowboard competition. The Freeride World Tour will then continue with both men’s and women’s ski and snowboard competition at Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, FRA (Jan. 25), Fieberbrunn Kitzbüheler Alpen, AUT (Feb. 1), Kirkwood, USA (March 1), Revelstoke, CAN (March 10) and the Verbier Extreme on the legendary Bec de Rosses on March the 22nd.
