Looking at the reports from Wednesday, it’s quite clear what the conditions are like in the Alps. It was sunny in the west, while it’s still snowing in the east. Today (Thursday) it is sunny everywhere. But this is only for a little while.

PowderAlert #14 in the Northern Alps was pretty good. Great powder with amounts of freshies between 20 to 50 cm. Locally even more. Anyway, let’s have a look at some reports!
Thursday will be a sunny day and especially in Austria some nice untracked powder can found. But be quick, because a new front is on its way.
PoederAlert#15: small window
PowderAlert #15 will be a tricky one for the weekend warriors. It will snow heavily on Friday in the northwest of the Alps, but the sun will come out again on Saturday. A new front will come in on Sunday, bringing high temperatures and snowfall only at high altitude. It will get colder again in the night from Sunday to Monday with snowfall deep into the valleys. And that’s too late if you can only ride on Saturday and Sunday. Is PowderAlert #15 worth it? If you’re around, yes, for sure, but if you have to drive over six hours, than you might want to skip this alert.
