Huge avalanche in Bessans

This probably is one of the biggest avalanches you have ever seen. It came down in the small town of Bessans, which is located close to Bonneval-sur-Arc in the French Alps, on Monday afternoon. Fortunately there were no victims.

High avalanche danger

The avalanche danger that day was 4 on a scale of 5. Fortunately no one was injured and that probably was because the avalanche was triggered and the road was closed. It still really impressive to see the pow(d)er of nature!
