What It’s Like to Watch an Avalanche from a Helicopter in BC

Ministry avalanche technicians in Canada used explosives to trigger avalanches at Bear Pass on Highway 37A on March 17, 2016. The site is 26 km east of Stewart, British Columbia. During avalanche control like this, the highway is closed and maintenance crews clear the snow before reopening the road to travellers. Impressive!!
