Fernie, British Columbia is known as an international ski and snowboard destination along the Powder Highway. A historic mining community, Fernie is an authentic ski town in the Rocky Mountains. Ascent To Powder film tells the story of Fernie through the eyes of its passionate local skiers and riders. About 12 years ago I spent a season in Fernie and I try to get back there once every three years or so. Just a week of riding great snow, meeting old friends, but especially feeling the great vibe this little mountain town still has. This movie hopefully will bring that vibe to skiers and boarders all over the world. Stoked!
