Live from Sauze d'Oulx, Italy

By Sandra on 22 December 2016 · 0

It's been snowing in the Piedmont and the resorts at the French border (Haut Guil, Ubaye, Mercantour) since Monday. We had a great day skiing in Sauze d'Oulx yesterday (Wednesday). Why the Sauze? Well, for the simple reason that we do not really like powder panic and we knew that a lot of people were going to ride Sestrière. It was a good decision. There weren't that many freeriders around!

The visibility was sometimes pretty good and sometimes very bad and it was snowing all day. The sun came out at around 2.00 PM. We mostly skied in the trees all day and the conditions were good! Around 70 cm of powder, but definitely affected by the wind in some places. Sauze d'Oulx is part of the huge ski area of Via Lattea. Great skiing, but also great coffee and great pizza!
