It started snowing in the Alps on Saturday. The snow line dropped to 1500 meters in the Gotthard region and the Engadin thanks to the continuous precipitation. So far, between 10-25 cm of snow came down, but the Gotthard region got around 40 cm. The core of the storm moved to Austria. You can expect some more flurries the next couple of days and a new storm might hit the Alps by the end of next week. It’s too bad it’s only September and not November, because storms like these would have guaranteed a great start of the season!
