I'm interested in finding out more about Bormio.

In particular, is there a regular shuttle bus between Isolaccia, Valdiddentro and Bormio?

@Chester_Tartsnatcher I have been in that region already a few times so far, but always with my own car.
I did some research and it turns out that there is bus during winter time: and

    Couldn't find a schedule.
May the powder be with you.

    Thanks Morris! (edit @meteomorris)

In my poking around the innert00bs, I found a schedule: .

Also, evidently there's a tunnel out of Livigno to Zernez, CH providing access to St. Moritz.

I'm planning a trip between the 10th of January 2018 and the 24th of January. I've done a bit of travelling around the Western Alps in France and Switzerland, but I'm trying to figure out some options in the Eastern Alps if the snow in the Western Alps is poor.

    Again, thanks for the help.

You should check the schedule of the tunnel between Livigno and Zernez as well. The tunnel only fits one car (it's only 2.5 meters wide).
One day, they'll invent synthetic powder, ban all kinds of work and give you a free liftpass...

Thanks Arjen (or should I use @Arjen ?).

I likely won't rent a car, but rely on public transit. It's such a novelty for we nomads trapped in Trumpdom to have access to decent public transit.

There's a chance I might get a ride from a friend, so that's good information.

Is that the only tunnel into CH from Livigno?

If anyone wants to meet up somewhere there's good snow in the Alps between Jan 10 and 24 2018, let me know.

I understand peoples reluctance to ski with a stranger. I've been skiing since I was 2, did well as a teenager in racing, was the 1973 Midwestern Freestyle champion and have done a bit of touring both in the western USA and the Alps. Birdo (Dan Loutrel) knows me.
