Antti Autti: freeriding in Finland

Finland is not really known for its groundbreaking freeride. Yet Antti Autti shows that with some imagination you can make the most of a small resort and its big backcountry. The images were shot in Pyhä, a ski area with 9 lifts and 14 pistes. They pride themselves on having 200 days of snow every year. Located on the edge of Pyhä-Lousto National Park is the adventure around the corner.

But 200 days of snow or not. Today (November 22nd, 2018) you’ll have to search for winter. You’ll have to be there when the flakes come down!

But if you wait until there’s plenty of snow, and you’re willing to hike… Well, enjoy the view and the (sometimes) challenging freeride in Finland. Have you ever been there?
