LIVE: first snow for the higher Alpine

SNOWvember has started with snow for the higher Alpine. Since Sunday the snow line has dropped to 1500-2000 meters but for some significant snow you have to go higher than 2300 meters. Some shots of this morning.

With the exception of the glaciers, winter sport is limited all over the Alps. Be aware that there are still many rocks everywhere and that crevasses are a serious threat once you go off piste on the glacier. It is really still pre pre season in the Alps since this is the first serious stormcycle.
