Arc'teryx SABRE AR

Arc'teryx has a reputation to uphold. For a lot of hard core outdoor sporters the quality of Arc'teryx is beyond question, and for good reason hundreds of mountain and ski guides worldwide rely on the gear of Arc'teryx. The SABRE AR JACKET is new in the Arc'teryx collection. It is a dedicated freeride jacket made for the deepest days and the best splitboard and skitours. Equipped to handle the vertical aspects of big mountain skiing, the Sabre AR Jacket is the most allround jacket in the line up.

With years of experience in the backcountry Arc'teryx knows where it is all about. This jacket isn't made to shop till you drop. Not because it isn't made to do so, but because this jacket wants to live an active live. Patterning and features align to deliver optimal freedom of motion, breathability and protection and WaterTight™ pit zips give rapid ventilation on traverses and ascents.

Made out of 3L GORE-TEX, this jacket can handle any weather. The fit is good. Not too big and not too small. Just as it should be. If you want to wear your jacket extremely baggy, a size bigger is advisable, but for the rest of the world the standard size structure simply applies. To give you an idea: I wear an M and the person you see in the pictures below also.

When ordering the SABRE jacket, I would advice to order the SABRE pants as well. With the Slide’n Loc™ attachments you can easily attach your pants to your jacket which will prevent the snow getting in. Or better said: Slide’n Loc™ attachments link to the Sabre AR Pant, creating a snowproof system that works as a single unit.

The SABRE AR JACKET is not cheap in absolute terms, but certainly not expensive. You don't buy an Arc'teryx jacket for a week of winter sports, but because of your passion for the sport and the outdoors. A jacket that will last for years. Here you can read all about the SABRE AR.

Available in 5 colors of which I think the Renegade is the most beautiful. What is your favorite color??
