    Hi guys,

    I'm planning a trip to Austria from 26.2 - 2.3.

Any tips on where to head? Looking for somewhere with decent freeride and tree runs in case of bad weather.

    Any thoughts are much appreciated!

    Hi Wilma,

At the moment the conditions are in general rather poor due to extremely warm weather. Go to one of the resorts in Voralrberg. It seems that they should be getting some fresh snow at least. Othervise check www.bergfex.at for current info and forecast.

    Good luck!

the bloke above is providing yesterdays forecast. if you pay £25 for the extended forecast it shows, from the 26th it starts dumping. the "advanced" Lubo above, will be back home by then. haha

In Austria it depends to which airport you are flying in. Innsbruck is in the Tyrol - good resort with lots of tree slopes is Kitzbuehel for example. Otherwise Salzburg side has some great areas, like the SkiWelt with vast interconnected areas. Zell am See / Kaprun is a good combination with glacier skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn and lower altitude Zell am See. Good overviews here for instance https://www.domus-global.com/austria-resorts-overview...
I guess it will be for next year now..
