Live: summer snow in the Alps

Last week, heat records were broken daily in the Alps. Our beloved mountains struggled in the sweltering heat. But it has now turned a lot colder. More than 20° colder. In many ski resorts, it has even snowed already. Good news for nature and for the glaciers. As I write this blog, I can see the peaks in my backyard, the French Ecrins, getting whiter from my office window. Truly enjoying it.

But the intensity of the rainfall is also causing problems in the valleys. We hope, of course, that everyone is safe! Here is a series of great pictures from the Alps.
