My french is a bit rusty and the French avalanche bulletin contains many quit specific terms I wanted to understand fully. Which poses a problem.
For this I have spend quite sometime searching for a trustworthy English translation or vocabulary and have found one published by the a translation bureau and Parks Canada. The entire base list was examined by a committee composed mainly of avalanche professionals.
The vocabulary contains FR EN and EN FR translations for many common terms and sentences.

ps. Keep in mind that this vocabulary is from 2006 and that I did not verify the quality of the publication. Although I have some trust in the commissioner (Canadian government) and the fact that French is there second official language 😉
