What's next after After Season Alert #2? Yes, After Season Alert #3. We had to search for lifts that were still running, but that's changing. We can start searching for lifts that are reopening. Yes, reopening. In June.
We had some interesting news about Porté Puymorens in the Pyrenees that is opening a lift this weekend, but more news coming out of Verbier today, where they are considering to open some lifts as well this weekend. The weather will decide if that will happen. But if weather will be nice the following lifts will be open for skiing and snowboarding this weekend: télécabine Châble-Verbier-Ruinettes, le funitel en de le télésiège de Lac 1. And the slopes won't be groomed. Does that sounds like a freeriders dream or what? And that in the weekend where the bike park was planned to be opened.
The decision will be made on Thursday morning
That's French. And in case you aren't French or perhaps a Fin living in France (you never know), it says something like this: we had around 50 centimeters of freshies yesterday night, and we're expecting another 50 centimeters the next couple of days. Saturday is looking pretty cloudy with some snow showers at the moment. Think about it. One meter (that one-hundred-centimeters!) at the end of May….So more news on Thursday morning!
The endless winter will continue and according to the lasts forecasts it will remain way too cold for this time of the year until June the fourth. After that, it's time for summer! Maybe.
