  when the models detect new precipitation first - 6 days ahead for example- it is in most of the time a lot more than it falls in fact.
  Last Dump there was in Arlberg Region 150 cm forecastet, in fact fallen 80....same for the Western Alpes. My Impression is that the Long time forecasts almost everytime exaggerate. My advice: take the factor 50% on the 6 day forecast and you will have a much more realistic forecast.
