We’re in the middle of PowderAlert #5 with a very strong Nordstau. The first wave gave already quite a lot of snow, but a second one will follow this evening. We can expect massive total accumulations of snow within three days on the northern side of the Alps. We’re talking about one or maybe even one and a half metre of snow locally! All the details in this video forecast powdered by our friends at Ortovox.

Thanks for an excellent update @@Henri! As you say the avalanche risk is extremely high, and maybe up to even level 5 on Thursday.
What do think about the avalanche risk on Friday for Vorarlberg? Based on the forecast, do you expect it to go down or still probably as high as 4?
Great dump. Shame about the high temps. All that snow below tree lined just ruined. Grrrr.

Hi @@elwinlooije, not in Arlberg unfortunately. Could you give a short update on if/how the warm temperatures today is affecting the snow over there?

Hi, yes the snow is getting heavier in the south facing slopes. The higher bits of the area are closed.
