  Hi guys,
  
  We are a group of 3 snowboarders going to monterosa from the 10.1. Since it is our first time, we have some questions and I hope you could help.
  
  1. We looking for a mountain guide. Do you might have someone recommend? We would be happy to connect with people that are also looking for a guide. If anyone is interested, please let me know.
  
  2. Where is it better to stay, Gressony or Alagna?
  In case of bad weather, where could we find more options to do some treeruns?

  One of the most experienced guides who's a great guy is Sergio Gabbio. He runs a small hotel in Alagna as well, Montagne di Luce.

  Alagna has some tree runs, but I think Gressoney is better in bad weather.

  These guides are also pretty good and they're office is located in the Gressoney valley: http://www.guidemonterosa.com/Guide_Monterosa/
  Alagna has steeper runs but the lifts often close in bad, windy weather, in which case there's not much to do. You're safer on the Gressoney side of the mountain, at least you can still find some good tree skiing in bad weather.

  You must buy ´Polvere Rosa 3´ if wanting to ride in Monterosa, so far I have yet to find a better free ride guide book for anywhere in the Alps.
  Then, I would also buy ´Fatmaps´ for your smartphone, a truly incredible app with high-resolution images for your favourite resorts with great descriptions on free riding lines.
