Live: Boom! Heavy snow in the Alps
Impressive amounts of snow

As predicted, it’s really going off in Austria. There’s an incredible amount of snow falling, and it’s expected to continue for a while. The first webcam images show a landscape we normally wouldn’t see for several more weeks! I’m curious who will be the first to make the season’s first turns on a snow-covered meadow. Unfortunately, much of this snow will melt, and only on the highest north-facing slopes will it likely stick around for the winter. But the stoke is real! In this blog, we’ll show you the best images of the season’s first snowfall.

Saterday September 14

It snowed heavily yesterday and today. In many winter sports locations in Austria, there is about 70 centimeters of snow. In recent days, around 100 mm of precipitation has fallen. At higher altitudes, the snow levels are immense. This results in impressive scenes!
