Hi MeteoMorris and as always, thanks for all your great forecasts!

We always plan to go skiing in the alps at the end of january, cause it is usually really good. We have however looked with some despair at the forecastpage here for a few days. Since we live in Sweden, we started looking at Norway with those bleak forecasts for the alps. Norway got a lot of snow lately, even if its a bit warm. At this time of year we do prefer the alps because of darkness and snow-base though.
As of today, we have saw a storm 17-20 january. Does this mean that it looks like the high preasure over the alps will be broken, and we can hope for more storms, or do you think Norway still will be the better bet for the weekend 23-26?
    Thx in advance!

We ended up in Narvik in Northern Norway. We where thinking about the Pyrenees, but it looked a bit warm and windy. We where also thinking about other good ski resorts for off piste in Norway, like Stranda, Myrkdalen or Röldal, but even though they had a lot of precipitation, it was too warm there as well. Therefore we looked further north and ended up in Narvik and that was a good choice, even though it is really dark this time of the year. We had three days with very good snow, then the wind ruined it a bit, but all in all we are very happy with our choice, and if you like you can check out a video of our trip here.
