It's finally going to happen! I'm planning a heli ski day in the alps this year. I'm looking for tips on: places to go, guides, companies etc. Does anyone have experience with this? Please let me know.

We're staying in Morgins, Switzerland so preferably we won't go to far from there. At the moment I'm looking at options in Zermatt, Chamonix and Courmayeur.

There's some great routes around the Monte Rosa.

Sergio Gabbio in Alagna took us on a trip around the Monte Rosa, starting in Alagna, heli up to the Lyskamm/Marguerite saddle, skied down to Zermatt, took the Kleine Matterhorn lift up, skied down into Cervinia, then a drag lift up to the SE edge of Cervinia, traversed around to Champoluc, lifts up, skied down into Gressoney, lifts up, skied back to Alagna.

Another guy that's got the scene dialed is Dan Loutrel who operates http://www.andermatt-guides.ch/EN/ and knows routes all over Uri, Graubunden and the traverses to Engelberg and offers heli trips.

Not far from Courmayeur you have the valley of Val Grisenche and their heli-ski operations - https://www.heliski-valgrisenche.com/en/
I haven't tried it myself but it's supposed to be one of the best in the alps. I have however stayed at their hotel where they serve the best Grappa I've ever tried. 😃
